Well, after cursing Buddha Bless for not releasing their karaoke VCD while I was in Thailand so I could just easy run to the store and get it,

And nearly DYING waiting for it to ship to America.

And finally getting a chance to watch it over and over and over and over and over again

I can finally post a review on it

…..And, of course, I don’t know where to start.

“Umm…It’s awesome?” Doesn’t seem to give it the justice it deserves.

Even if the karaoke videos aren’t the most extraordinary things in the world, they’re still perfect, still fun to watch, because, dude, even if Buddha Bless was locked in a black room with no lights, they’d STILL find a way to put on the BEST performance you’d ever see in your life. They are the perfect entertainers. Seriously, there’s not one more crazy, original, charismatic group in Thailand than these three guys right here.

So let’s see… A majority of the translations and reviews of all the songs can be found back at the review of their album Gut Mun Doo here, so here let’s just talk about the videos.

With this VCD, you get…

High quality karaoke of their Dook Dik and Puk Takrai MVs, of course. Pity it doesn’t have the Suay Jung MV, but review on that here as soon as it’s released!

Awesome live footage for “Hoon Yon,” “Narok,” and “Doraemon.”~

The “Shake It Baby!” video….was… Well, I guess since it was my favorite song I was expecting a little more, and I think it would have been better if it was in like a dark club with the lights and the girls shaking away haha, but regardless, the boys are fun and crazy, and it’s a good video~

The video for “Jon Jon” was pretty funny, though I don’t quite think it matches the lyrics 100%. But it’s very reggae haha, reminds me kind of like Sean Paul’s “We Be Burnin’” music video, and still so very Buddha Bless.

The video for “Suay Jung” was fun and light-hearted, though again, nothing to do with the lyrics, but I guess that’s what the music video is for whenever that is released. But the boys and their following being crazy and dancing down the street, jumping random people and having a fun ol’ time~ Wish I could have been there!

The video for “Piak Up Chun” I guess goes along with the title as they’re in a pool. This one looks fun too! Crazy as ever and all over the place, the boys just make any situation amazingly awesome.

My very favorite video, though, has to be “Kae Oak Huk / Just a Broken Heart.” At first, this was my least favorite track on the CD, but after paying more attention to the lyrics, really saw that it was MY SONG haha. And then watching the video, it’s just…fun. Even for a karaoke video that is focused mainly on them just walking around and singing, they make it fun. From the masked dancers to their melodramatic gestures to even GohM pulling off his shirt (Just for you, Rukdara! ) I just really really liked this video.

And the lyrics are absolutely perfect. Like…seriously. They’re everything I feel, everything I stand for, everything I’ve ever wanted to hear in a song. Buddha Bless are genuine 100%. Check it out.

So yes, if you buy only one CD or VCD this year,
If I could only recommend one CD or VCD of the year,
Buddha Bless’s “Gut Mun Doo” would be it.
Seriously, these guys are the top, you won’t regret it.
