I Wanna Ride on the Sky Train Looking for Cris and Kane!

So ever since Lyn’s Lakorn Blog posted about the upcoming movie, “รถไฟฟ้ามาหานะเธอ / Rot Fai Faa Mah Ha Na Ter (I Ride the Skytrain to See You),” also known by its ridiculous English title, “Bangkok’s Traffic Love Story,” starring Kane Teeradeth, Cris Horwang, and Pat Ungsumalin, I’ve been rolling around impatiently for more news about it! If I’m not watching horror movies, I have an addiction to romantic comedies, and this one looks so cute! Thanks to Buddha Bless’s Gui-Oui for posting the trailer that just came out a few days earlier for it today, giving me the heads up on it, and just watching it makes me even more impatient for it! Here’s the trailer and the synopsis:

In 2009, traffic problems continue to be a major issue for Bangkok residence. Even with the construction of numerous roads, bridges, and tollways, all the roadways are still congested and cannot sufficiently meet the residence’s need. Bangkok’s roadway is like a hot guy with great personality; there’s so little of them and never enough to satisfy everyone’s needs.

Mey-Li (Cris) is a 30 year old woman who has one bad habit of getting drunk at her friend’s weddings. All because weddings seem to remind her of her single, man-less, lonely life. One day, as she is returning from sending her best friend off to her wedding night, she drove into a porridge stand in a night market, resulting in her dad selling off her car as a punishment.

With no man to pick her up and drop her off, Li has to venture into the Bangkok’s horrendous transportation system all alone. Each day, she must get on a motorcycle, taxi, bus, van, boat, etc. Her exhaustion from her method of travel is messing with her sleeping pattern.

One night, Li wakes up in the middle of the night and went up to the roof to drink beer alone. As luck would have it, she witnessed the taping of a pornographic movie, which became a big scandal that led her to meet Loong (Kane), a maintenance engineer of the BTS electric train system.

Meeting this strange innocent man without being drunk stirs something within Lee for the first time in all of her 30 years. Her head is filled with questions like, “What is a guy cool and good looking man like him hiding in a night job working with electric trains?”

Li feels as if Loong is a treasure that she stumbled upon. She felt like she won the lottery. If she does not do something and follow her heart, she might be the last living single woman in all of Bangkok.

Li decides to do something that every girl has thought about but never dares to do. Pursue a man!!

But pursuing a man is not so easy for someone with no experience in the art like Lee. Their schedules are so different that they may as well live in two different planets. On top of that, Pluen (Pat), the girl next door, decides to lose her love interest in her teacher and becomes Li’s competition.

No matter what obstacle she has to face, Li decides to never give up. This very last (electric) train ticket of love, Li will never ever let it slip away from her!

Follow their complicated love story in the movie “Bangkok’s Traffic Love Story” this October 15th.

The movie looks funny, it looks cute, it looks bittersweet, everything that’ll have me glued to the screen and shouting at it hahaa. Kane is looking mighty fine, as usual, I think they picked him as the perfect pra’ek for this film. Personally, I would love to fangirl over Cris Horwang as much as Rukdara is likely to do over Kane, but I’m not quite sure how to go about doing that without sounding a little lesbian-ish, so I’ll just say she looks absolutely adorable, as usual, and seems to play her part well yet again~ Patti seems cute and like able as well~ Thumbs up on the cast and the storyline, I really really wish I could see this movie in theaters, it’ll be torture waiting for the VCD!!

The title song for the OST is an old hit from the Grammy duo Instinct… And anyone who knows me knows how I looooove Instinct (note the sarcasm), but…I guess I have to say this song, “โปรดส่งใครมารักฉันที / Bproht Song Krai Mah Ruk Chun Tee (Please Send Someone to Love Me),” isn’t so bad, especially the end, when they get a little harder than Instinct usually is. And it certainly fits with the movie~ No more comment on the karaoke video and the group, though ahaha.
