Wow~ so was searching YouTube for songs and clicking upon recommended videos till I got to Nutty. And no, I don’t mean I went crazy, I mean the singer is Nutty. Usually we’re so busy keeping up with new (and sometimes old) releases of Thai Pop, Rock, RnB, etc that it’s easy to overlook some great luk thuung. We’ve done some luk thuung reviews previously but the fact is, luk thuung just doesn’t get enough credit with some of their MV plots and concepts especially with what I’m about to post. I have been OBSESSED; yes I admit it, OBSESSED (capital letters) with this song & MV for the last week or so. I stumbled upon it when I saw a still image of a boy by the sea in this video. Needless to say, I was intrigued enough to click ‘play’ and before I knew it, I was totally hooked!

It’s about a childhood friendship that turned into love only that love is tested by many obstacles and situations.

This is actually a 3 part music video mini-series with the first song ขอนไม้กับเรือ / Kon Mai Gub Reua / Log and Boat sung by Bao-Wee.

… I’m not. But by request from Cynthia, I decided to check this group out.

Meet G20, another up an coming all-girl group riding on the Korean wave and into Thai music stations with their new single “Don’t Worry.” They are under indy label Mono Music who brought you Candy Mafia, Ztudiotomo and Bebe. The members are Miyuki, Nuclear (or Newclear–seriously?!), Ticha, Kat and Mok but unlike Candy Mafia these girls are in their early 20s.

Okay, frankly, I don’t care what anyone says but this whole group screams “Wonder Girls” at me from their dance style, their look and their song. Then again, this is a group from the same company who popped out Candy Mafia who were compared to 2NE1. The girls are very pretty and they can definitely dance (probably because they’ve been pushed a lot more by their record company). I like the outfits they wear for the G*20 background scene and the colors are nice in the photo above but I don’t know… I’m not feeling it. Read the rest of this entry »
